
Cauldrons are typically associated with water. But most often a cauldron is used to burn loose incense on a charcoal disc, to make black salt (used in banishing rituals), for mixing herbs, or to burn petitions (paper with words of power or wishes written on them). That's what I normally use mine for anyway.
I actually have two small ones. Although I would love to have a large one hanging in my hearth, until I actually get a hearth my little ones will have to suffice.
