44 days of Witchery: Witchy Day #4

A picture of nature (Water Element)

I've always considered a deep connection with water. Up until a few years ago, I had lived near a large body of water my entire life. It was my sanctuary, my place for peace. For as long as I could remember, any time I felt at odds in the world, or just needed some time to think, the soft sounds of water flowing, waves crashing, or even the glorious view of a waterfall was enough for me to forget all my troubles and get on with my life.

A little harder to do now that I'm in the Midwest, however, it's not exactly impossible to find that little bit of serenity.

This beautiful lily pond was taken at a Buddhist temple during my vacation this year to the south of Spain. It's tranquility brought me peace on what could have been a stressful vacation. (Try traveling with 2 boys under the age of 4)

These mossy rocks were also from my trip to Spain. The wonderful beaches along the Mediterranean Sea gave me such joy this year. It was truly a blessing to be able to experience their beauty.
