Witchy Tools: Athame

The athame is used for the ceremonial purposes, i.e banishing, as well as invoking. Never to literally cut physical objects. It is said that in doing so, said athame would turn null and void of it's magical use.
It's element is fire, just as the sword is. However, the athame did not become so mainstream until Gardner introduced it.
